If you've completed two or more years of college credits and are looking to finish a bachelor's degree, this is opportunity knocking! Murray State's Integrated Studies program grants students an alternative baccalaureate degree, the Bachelor of Integrated Studies (BIS).
The degree is designed for adults with previous college credit and/or significant life experience. Adults find the Integrated Studies program appealing because of its flexible degree requirements and alternative methods of earning additional credits. For added convenience, we offer both online courses, as well as traditional courses on-campus and at our regional campuses.
Experiential learning credit is also a valued component of the program. A unique and attractive feature of the program allows students to create their own field of study emphasis. This degree program works well for students in established careers who do not need a specific academic credential for a new career.
Students who complete the Integrated Studies program earn a Bachelor of Integrated Studies (BIS) degree, a baccalaureate degree granted by Murray State University, which is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. Graduates have gained admission to law school and to graduate programs in economics, business, English, and psychology.
